Our motivation

We've been competing our whole lives. Mountain Bike races, city runs, Marathons, cycling challenges, trail runs. Always training with purpose, always chasing the next goal. The preparation is half the joy. But the moment everything clicks on race day - when the training pays off exactly as planned - that feeling is something else entirely.

The problem? Those moments end up as rankings buried in a folder, on Strava or any other app or medals in a shoebox.

We wanted something more. Something you can see and touch. Something that brings those memories back the moment you look at it. That's why we built KontourLab!

Swiss made.

Premium quality.

Made to order.

Who we are

We are engineers and athletes. Precise where it matters, passionate about what we do. We don't guess, we don't rush, and we don't cut corners. Because we know what these routes cost and what they're worth.

As fathers, we also think long-term. About quality that lasts. About doing business in a way we're genuinely proud of. That means no stock, no overproduction, no waste. Every poster is made the moment it's ordered - specifically for the person who ordered it.

What we make

Our posters translate GPS data into precisely crafted 3D-printed objects. Every climb, every descent, every shift in elevation becomes something physical - something you can see and feel on your wall.

Not only a print. Not a flat graphic. A real representation of something you actually did.

Frequently asked questions

How long does production and delivery take?

Every poster is made to order. From the moment you place your order, production and delivery typically takes 5–10 business days.

How does the custom poster work?

Export your GPS route from Strava, Garmin, Polar, Komoot, Suunto, or any other tracking app as a .gpx file. Upload it at our Custom page, enter your details (distance, elevation, date, event name, etc.), choose your design and frame and we take it from there.

  • Strava: Open the activity, tap the three-dot menu, and select Export GPX.
  • Garmin: Go to Garmin connect, then select your activity, click on the gear icon and click "Export to GPX".
  • Polar: Go to your diary and select your session. Go to the bottom and click "Export session" and select "Route (GPX)".
  • Komoot: Simply open the desired saved route or completed activity, and click or tap "Download GPX file".
  • Suunto: Open the Suunto App on your phone, select the desired recorded activity, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and choose Export GPX workout.

If you face any problems getting the .gpx file, reach out to us and we help you.

What design and frame options are available?

We offer several poster design styles for custom products (see the custom section) and oak style, black or white frame in 42x32x3cm format. You can explore all options on our customs page.

If you cannot find your style, reach out - we will do our best to make it happen.

Where are your products manufactured?

We are a small company and produce everything except the frame in house here in Basel, Switzerland. Check our Instagram page for insights.

What materials are the products made of?

Our products are made of several parts.

  • The 3d-printed contour is made of a bio based PLA.
  • The poster is a premium, high quality, glossy photo paper.
  • The frame is made of a combination of Polystyrene plastic, fibre board and paper.

Do you also ship to other countries apart Switzerland?
